Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 4, 2026
Who this policy covers
Standing Oak Advisors is an independent marketing brand name used by Scott Eichler, an investment adviser representative of Savvy Advisors, Inc. (an SEC-registered investment adviser), for advertising and marketing only. This privacy policy explains how information is handled on this website (standingoakadvisors.com).
Who is responsible for the data. For questions or privacy requests about this website, the responsible party is Scott Eichler, doing business as Standing Oak Advisors. Contracts with our service providers (data processing agreements) are executed by that party.
This policy covers visitors to the website and prospective clients who use its forms and tools. It does not govern the nonpublic personal information you provide once you become an advisory client of Savvy. If you engage Savvy for investment advisory services, information tied to that relationship is handled under Savvy's own privacy notice and the federal financial-privacy rules that apply to it (Regulation S-P). See Savvy's privacy notice.
Prospect information. Some information you submit before becoming a client — for example, through a contact or scheduling request — may also fall under Savvy's Regulation S-P obligations. Where this website policy and Savvy's financial-privacy notice overlap, Savvy's notice controls for that information.
The short version
We keep website data collection light on purpose. We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, ad pixels, or session-replay tools. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Two things are worth reading closely, because in both cases information you enter is sent to a third party to do its job:
- One of our interactive tools, the strategy decision tree, sends the numbers or text you type to an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the result. The tax-on-sale calculator does not.
- Our forms and scheduling send what you enter to our form provider (HubSpot) and our scheduling provider (Calendly).
Before you submit a form or run a tool, we show you a short notice about this and ask you to proceed, so you know where your information is going before it is sent.
Information we collect
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our infrastructure providers automatically receive limited technical information:
- Cookieless analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures aggregate traffic (page views, referring sites, general region, device and browser type) without setting cookies and without tracking you across other websites. It does not build a profile of you.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data, including your IP address and browser user-agent, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
Information you provide through our tools
The site offers two interactive tools: a tax-on-sale calculator and a strategy decision tree. They handle your input differently.
The strategy decision tree is AI-powered. To generate a result, the information you enter — including any free text you type — is sent through our own server to Anthropic, PBC, the provider of the AI model that powers the tool. Anthropic processes that input only to return the tool's output and does not use it to train its models. Before the tool sends anything, we show a brief notice; by running the tool you consent to your input being processed as described.
The tax-on-sale calculator is not. It is a deterministic calculator that computes its result from formulas in your own browser. What you enter into the calculator is not sent to Anthropic or to any other AI provider.
Reports you print or download are retained. When you print or download a report from either tool, a copy of that report is retained in our records to meet the recordkeeping obligations that apply to investment advisers. The copy is what you saw on screen. It is retained for compliance purposes only and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties for any other purpose.
Please do not enter personal identifying information, account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive details into the tools. They are educational estimators and do not need your identity to work.
Information you provide through forms and when you contact us
If you request a call, use a contact form, or email us, we collect the information you choose to give, such as your name, email address, phone number, and anything you write.
- Forms. Our website forms are provided and processed by HubSpot, Inc. on our behalf, so that we can receive and respond to your request and manage our contact records.
- Scheduling. If you book a call, scheduling is handled by Calendly, LLC. To pre-fill your booking, information you entered in our form may be passed to Calendly. Calendly collects the details needed to book the meeting.
Before you submit, we show a short notice that your information will be shared with these providers; by submitting the form you consent to that sharing.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- operate, secure, and improve the website and its tools,
- generate the output you request from a tool,
- respond to your questions, and schedule and prepare for a call you request,
- understand, in aggregate, which content is useful so we can improve it.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with:
- Service providers that run the site, for the purposes above and acting on our behalf under their own terms: Cloudflare (hosting, security, and cookieless analytics), Anthropic (the AI that powers the decision tree), HubSpot (forms and contact management), and Calendly (scheduling). Each is engaged to process data for us as a service provider/processor, not for its own independent purposes.
- Legal and safety reasons, when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or is needed to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, cross-site tracking, ad pixels, or session-replay tools, and we do not deploy HubSpot's cross-site visitor-tracking script. Our analytics provider is cookieless. Cloudflare, HubSpot, and Calendly may set strictly-necessary cookies for security, form functionality, or scheduling; these are not used to track you across sites or to advertise to you.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track you across websites or over time and do not sell or share your personal information, we do not behave differently based on a browser Do Not Track signal. To the extent any opt-out obligation applies to us, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We treat all visitors the way this policy describes.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have privacy rights under state law.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), eligible residents can request to know, delete, or correct the personal information a covered business holds about them, and can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the law. Regardless of how the law's thresholds apply to us, we honor the core requests described here.
To make a request, contact us at [email protected] or 742 E Chapman Ave., Orange, CA 92866. We will verify your request before acting on it and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code section 1798.83) lets California residents ask about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct-marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to note the update on this page.
